Kampong Loyang
Once upon a time, there was this village in Singapore called Kampong Loyang. Surprisingly, it
was really not very long ago. Most of the photos in this article were taken around 1986. I use Sungei
Loyang in the map below as a reference point. Right about where the river mouth of Sungei Loyang is, was
Kampong Loyang. This is also where I live.
Leading to Kampong Loyang was this road called Kuala Loyang. Today,
Sungei Loyang still exist in the map. However, both Kampong Loyang and Kuala
Loyang have vanished from the map.
